When Science Meets Nature
International workshops dedicated to major scientific challenges in the study of ecology, evolution, and biodiversity.
A series of five international workshops brings to Israel leading figures from across the world to interact with the Israeli community of ecologists and zoologists, and to discuss general scientific problems in the field. The aim of these workshops is threefold:
  • To advance interdisciplinary and basic research on general scientific problems related to ecology, evolution, and biodiversity.
  • To strengthen the position of Israel as a center for original and innovative research in ecology and evolution.
  • To allow Israeli students and young scientists to interact intimately with some of the leading figures in the international scientific community and to establish potential ties and future collaborations

An indirect, but equally important goal of these workshops is to help securing the academic quality and excellence of the scientific community on which Israel's research and education in biodiversity and nature conservation is based.
