At the end of June, a special seminar was held to mark the tenth anniversary of the publication of the Red Book of Endangered Plants in Israel.

Cooperation between the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and the Botanical Garden led to the seminar taking place in the Porter School of Environmental Studies. The seminar, which was open to the general public, was attended by senior officials from the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, scientists, INPA rangers, municipal ecologists, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and nature lovers. The lecturers presented special projects dealing with the conservation of plants in nature reserves or protected areas and involving the community. The seminar was concluded with a special tour of the Botanical Garden, which serves as a shelter for endangered species and plays an active role in rescue and restoration efforts.
